Plot summary:
Ash goes to the Alola region accompanied by Pikachu to continue his quest in becoming a Pokémon master. But instead of leaving the island, Ash enrols in a school on Melemele island. Whilst Ash is catching Pokémon and battling his way through Alola with his new friends he comes across team rocket, where like usual trouble is stirring.

What I like most:
What I like most is the friendly feeling that the tv series emits. The characters are kind and caring and they all genuinely care about each other. Team rocket is always trying to catch Pikachu, but they never triumph which makes us wonder if they really are evil. The whole tv series just kept me on the edge of my seat and not in the action kind of movie way does but in the way when I am really invested in a character’s development.
What I like least:
What I like least is how Jessie and James are trying their best to capture Pikachu and other Pokémon for Team Rocket but whatever they do is never enough, and they are thought to be the lowest in the ranks of team rocket but clearly, they work the hardest. I think it would be really cool to see Jessie and James team up with Ash and take down tea Rocket for good.
Interesting fact:
Pokémon Sun and Moon is the 22nd season of Pokémon and had added a new addition to the series, Z-moves. Z-moves brought almost as much hype as mega-evolutions.
Recommended age:
I would recommend this to kids aged 8+. It is a light-hearted, fun anime that conveys friendship above all else. Unlike earlier Pokémon series there isn’t any violence except for the Pokémon battles.
How to explain to your parents:
This is the tale of Ash a young boy who pursues his dream of becoming a Pokémon master and makes friends along the way that supports him and pushes him to become better. When things are difficult for him, he tackles them with a smile and with the help of his trusty Pikachu and other Pokémon he can accomplish anything.
Film/Tv crossover:
There are 28 Pokémon anime novelizations that follow the anime, 19 films, and an astounding 122 games as well as the infamous Pokémon trading card game.
