Japanese Bubble Tea in Melbourne

I love bubble tea! It had been a really long day, and the bright lights and cool sweet milky treat was calling to me.  The neon lights of Gotcha Fresh Tea (https://www.gotchafreshtea.com.au/#/) were a beacon in the Melbourne darkness.  I walked in the door and straight to the electronic menu – a giant rectangular touch screen in the middle of the floor, that didn’t count towards my daily screen time limit – but it was a no-brainer really: brown sugar and pearl get me every time.  The wait staff were really kind, and I had my drink within minutes.  I sat down amongst the boxes and took my first sip – delicious! Not too sweet, with silky tapioca pearls that pop pleasantly in the mouth, and a keepsake cup.  Definitely check it out if you’re in Melbourne.

Highlights: The tea is the highlight, but the location of the Elizabeth Street store in a Japanese precinct @ 398 Elizabeth St, Melbourne VIC 3000 is pretty cool too.

Lowlights: Absolutely none.
